Major Red is a bold, six grape blend comprised of 6 varieties (35% Petite Sirah, 24% Syrah, 24% Alicante Bouschet, 12% Viognier, 5% Barbera) from the Sierra Foothills. The grapes are fermented in open-top tanks, followed by 24 months of barrel aging (20% new American oak and 80% neutral barrels) for a softer, polished mouthfeel, added structure, and nuanced dill and cocoa butter notes. This approachable yet layered wine greets you with juicy notes of Bing cherry and boysenberry, layered over white peppercorn and allspice.
