Harvest: Sept 16-18 , 2025. Later than normal due to the cool summer.

Style/Description: On the full-bodied side of Vermentino Bright, fruity with great texture and complexity. similar to the best Ligurian Vermentinos with more freshness and acitity. Excellent match for seafood of all types, especially raw oysters. No oak aging, ever. 

Native to the Mediterranean, Vermentino is perfect for California because it produces aromatic and expressively fruity wine with great natural acidity - more so than Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. This has been the case with our Dry Creek Valley Vermentino  since our first few vintages in the 2010’s. Our diurnal shift between day and nighttime temperatures result in Loire Valley-like acidity and minerality. We now have two Vermentino clones , our original vines from Provence planted in 2004,2010 and 2017, and a Ligurian selection planted in 2018. The Ligurian clone makes up 30% of this blend and it really adds complex flavors and an underlying richness to this fruity Vermentino. The cool 2025 summer, which extended the growing season, amplified both aromas and flavors of our Vermentino. We love this grape!
