Tiki Estate Sauvignon Blanc North Canterbury 2024

A damn good estate-grown New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc with a dedicated family behind it. 

With intensely appetizing aromas of passionfruit, key lime, lychee, grapefruit zest and fresh cut grass and vibrant acidity on the palate, this wine gives us everything we want in a classic New Zealand Blanc, but offers a little extra oomph that we struggle to put our finger on. 

For the past 16 years, Tiki winery has been owned and operated by the McKean family. The winery's name, Tiki, honors co-founder, Royce's great-great-great grandfather, Ngāti Uenuku Chieftain, Tiki Tere Mihi making Tiki one of few indigenous Māori wine producers in New Zealand. Vines are cared for according to the guiding Māori principles of Kaitiakitanga: guardianship, protection and preservation of the earth.
