Presqu'ile Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir 2023

Located in the heart of Santa Barbara Countys Santa Maria Valley, Presquile (pronounced press-KEEL) is a small, family-run winery dedicated to making exceptional cool-climate Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Designed and planted to create a diverse tapestry of vineyard blocks, the sustainably certified, 73-acre Presquile Vineyard features an array of clones, exposures and elevations.

The Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir provides a beautiful look into just how well this grape thrives in the regions soils. Lifted notes of bing cherries, rose hips, dried orange rind, and sandalwood dominate the wines earth-driven palate. Pair with game, veggie burgers, or roasted chicken.

2023 is looking to be one of the best vintages Santa Bar-bara County has ever seen. With an unusually cold and wet beginning to the year and a long, mild growing season that extended up to a full month behind our normal harvest timing, the grapes enjoyed extra hang time and the opportunity to develop gradually. This lead to grapes with beautiful concentration, balance, and vibrant acidity.
