Rebholz Estate Pinot Blanc 2022

This dry (troken) elegant pinot blanc (sometimes known as Weisser Burgunder in these parts) comes from one of the most esteemed producers in the Pfalz (Weingut Ökonomiereat Rebholz) if not one of all of Germany.

Hansjörg Rebholz, who last name translates to “wood of the vine” was chosen Winemaker of the Year in 2002 and since has been awarded five grapes by Gault-Millau, its highest rating. The estate has been a member of the Pfalz VDP since 1991 and Hansjörg is President for Pfalz since 1999. Nowadays Hansjörg works with his two sons Hans and Valentin in the cellar, as well as farming the estate’s 25 ha are farmed bio-dynamically.

Pristine, cutting yet creamy at the same time, this wine charms with aromas and flavors of green apple, lemon balm wet seashells and slate and a touch of jasmine and white pepper. Excellent with fish and green vegetables, light soups and white meat.
