Murva "Teolis" Sauvignon Blanc Friuli 2022

The wines produced by Alberto Pelos at Friuli's Murva in Isonzo are thrilling, pure and focused way - a reflection of his time making the wines for the legendary Vie di Romans. Alberto farms 5 hectares - 4 of which he owns, and 1 in the center of town that is part of a project to engage troubled youth within the community. Farming and winemaking at Murva are sustainable and low intervention (without adhering to any specific dogma or credentialed program), with extensive work in the vineyards, all by hand.

"Teolis" refers to the vineyard where these grapes were grown. To make this wine, hand harvested grapes were fermented in stainless steel after one night of skin contact followed by stainless steel

fermentation, and 10 months of aging
