Although the goal is typically to display two expressions of the same site, the greater goal is always to make the best wine possible for you to enjoy. 50% Lost Slough Cortese, 25% Heringer Chenin, 25% Wilson Vineyards Chenin. All Clarksburg AVA. No time on skins, pressed to barrel for fermentation and aging for 11 months. Fresh peeled mandarin on the nose, with pineapple, guava, and flowering lemon balm on the palate. Foraging for mushrooms on a foggy day with the sun just breaking through the mist. -Alli B Matt Crutchfield may be new to the Sonoma scene, but his first two vintages are already getting a lot of notice. He also serves as the Assistant Winemaker for Ryme Cellars. Matt's passion for wine began in Charleston, South Carolina working in wine bars and retail shops. This led him to work a harvest in Sonoma County (with the intention of returning to hospitality). Four harvests in Sonoma and one New Zealand harvest later, he's found his calling as a winemaker.
