Longavi "Republica" Maule Valley Red Blend 2024

Juicy berries with a side of dried herbs. A blend of Carignan (80%), Grenache (15%), Monastrell/Mourvedre (5%) blend from old, dry-farmed bush vines in Chile’s Maule Valley. Native yeast fermented in cement and aged in neutral vessels (large old barrels) to highlight the freshness and character of the fruit. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. 

Longavi is a the partnership project between friends, Julio Bouchon (Chile) and David Nieuwoudt (South Africa), from winemaking dynasties on two continents. The label highlights Chile’s old vines and indigenous varieties.
