Les Deux Flèches Fleurie “Vieilles Vignes” Gamay 2020

We produce Fleurie 'La Madone', Moulin-a-Vent sur les Greneriers and Vierre Manin, a little Saint-Veran in Davaye at a place called 'Les Plantes' as well as honey. Born out of a deep friendship, the "Les Deux fleches" project revolves around values dear to the eyes of Nicolas & Jeremy: sharing, epicureanism, high standards and love for the land. Passionate about wine, Jeremy & Nicolas like to laugh as much as to eat well. In 2015, they decided to create Les Deux Fleches in order to create their own wines and share their passion. We believe that organic farming allows you to get as close as possible to the expression of a terroir. This is why we have chosen to ban all synthetic products in the performance of our viticulture. We believe that the soil is the basis for healthy viticulture, which is why we always strive to pay the greatest attention to it. Prophylaxis is also one of our priorities in everything we do. This is why we apply certain precepts of biodynamics. We observe a lot and thus measure our interventions, adapt our way of working to allow the vines to express themselves as well as possible Cru Fleurie is one of the ten exceptional Gamay growing appellations of the Beaujolais. Certified organic grapes for this wine are grown in the classic pink granite soils on one of the finest terroirs of Fleurie, La Madone, or the hill Appearance: Intense ruby. Clear and bright Nose: Full and pronounced bouquet of ripe red fruits including cherry and cranberry. Supported by a hint of toasty bread and a touch of chocolate. Mouth: Dry with nice acidity and soft tannins. Medium body, pairing perfectly with nose. Light and fruity, well balanced with subtle oak that adds structure and a hazelnut finish. Vineyard Notes: Steep, terraced vineyards that cannot be worked by tractor, instead all work is done by hand. Vegetation is left growing between the rows. Certified organic. Food Pairing: Excellent with grilled chicken or smoked salmon.
