The area in and around the village of Chavot is known for its Pinot Meunier and Aurelien Laherte has made it his goal to express the magic of this varietal through this bottling of rose. To achieve this, he has devised a blend of three unique styles of wine that when blended together showcase the gorgeous potential that these old vines have. 30% from saignee style maceration for body & freshness. 10% red wine for complexity and power 60% white wine for crisp fresh fruit The result is an extremely complex and satisfying display of Pinot Meunier in all its glory. The texture is rich, creamy and plump with added aromatics of both berry fruit as well as aged wine. All is held together by a crisp, fruit-driven mineral backbone that keeps you coming back for more.
