Domaine Vendome “Les Coulaires” Crozes-Hermitage Rouge 2023

A svelte Syrah from the Northern Rhone with a classic Crozes character: black olive, cloves, leather, baked blackberry, black currant with black tea flavor and fine tea-like tannins on the finish. Fresh and vibrant. Riper than the previous vintage, but still quite elegant and balnaced for a hot vintage. 

Fruit (organically farmed) comes from 50 year old vines planted to clay-limestone hillsides. The wine is aged concrete.
