Day Wines Tears of Vulcan Skin-Contact (Orange) Blend 2022

We can't say enough good things about Brianne Day, founder and badass behind Oregon's Day Wines. 

Tears of Vulcan is an aromatic orange wine inspired by the Orange wines of Sicily and the volcanic soils of Oregon's Chehalem Mountain AVA and a touch of Brianne's love of heavy metal. A savage fermentation and untamed skin contact give this wine its notes of papaya, guava, apricot, dried mountain herbs and Chinese 5 spice on the nose. Those round fruits continue on the palate with a light spice on the honeyed (but not sweet!) finish.  

The 2022 is a blend of Viognier (46%), Pinot Gris (44%) & Riesling (10%).
