Inspired by local curandera (healer) traditions, Condesa Clasica incorporates botanicals traditionally used to cleanse negative energy, attract love, and expand consciousness. This small-batch gin speaks uniquely to its Mexican heritage while still offering an intuitive substitute for a London Dry Gin in classic cocktails. Condesa is produced at Flor de Luna, a pioneering, women-owned-and-operated micro-distillery located in the heart of Mexico City. The distillerys founder and Maestra Destiladora (Master Distiller), Hillhamn Salome, was just eighteen years old when she first established Flor de Luna in 2015. After earning a gold medal at the 2016 International Spirits Competition in California, Salome and her small production team expanded their vision of modern spirits inspired by the cultural and culinary heritage of Mexico, helping to co-create Condesa Gin. Condesas bottles, base distillate, and botanicals are all sustainably sourced in Mexico, primarily by women growers. This comprehensive approach has nurtured the development of gins which feel both instantly familiar and wonderfully transportive. Condesa Clasica Gin expands on a powerful botanical base of juniper to explore distinctly Mexican aromatics and spiritual traditions. Distilled using copper pot stills and built upon a Mexican-sourced neutral grain distillate of corn, rye, wheat, and barley, Clasica uses thirteen botanicals including juniper, palo santo, sage, jasmine, coriander, elderflower, lavender, rosemary, cedron, myrrh, lime & orange zests to echo the curandera (healer) traditions that use many of these same ingredients to cleanse negative energy, attract love, and expand consciousness. Jasmine, sage, and the citrusy, faintly confectionary wood of the Palo Santo tree dominate this unique yet approachable gin. 43% ABV.
