Beautiful deep ruby/purple colour with dark reflections. With an astonishing aromatic complexity, it exhales aromas of small black fruits dominated by blackberry and raspberry. It is pleasantly toasted, while round and rich in character, it reveals a remarkably balanced set with mellow and elegant tannins. The finish, equally seductive, is long.
Planted on the outstanding Graves Quaternaires in the Champs de Medrac, Peyredon is one of the smallest Cru Bourgeois with only 4000 cases produced on 10 hectares. The very old vines were hand harvested. This Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot blend was aged in French Oak Cooperage for 12 months.
