Artemis Karamolegos Terra Nera Dry Red Wine 2024

A rare red from Santorini: 50/50 blend of 60-year-old Mandilaria and Mavrotragano from the estate vineyards scattered around the island of Santorini. 

This light to medium bodied red (vinification at low temperature with a short maceration time) and bottled young with little to no oak influence (short maceration in stainless steel and neutral oak) shows notes of fresh and stewed cherry, with spicy hints and typical Mediterranean herb aromas. Elegant with fine, light tannins. 

Grown in Santorini's volcanic, low nutrient soils, this wine is for lovers of Etna Rosso. Serve just slightly chilled alongside cured meats, grilled tuna, pasta pomadoro or chicken skewers.
