These grapes are farmed organically by the Siletto family in the San Benito AVA, which has limestone in the soil. Picked on 9/26/19 at 20.9 brix, they did 50% whole cluster and 50% destemmed. Fermented in bins, foot stomped and pressed to neutral French oak, aged for 14 months. Brickish garnet color with lovely aromatics of marionberry, strawberry, and turkey fig. Framed with herbaceous and earthy notes, cherry cola along with a dab of horseradish. This wine would be great with a charcuterie spread, as it has grippy tannins.
