Alentejo Red Blend:" old vine Aragonez (Tempranillo), Trincadeira, Castelao and Alicante Bouschet on the Muchao Estate. Grapes are handpicked, foot trodden and fermented in open lagares -- the same winemaking methods used for over a century. This age-old blend is allowed to mature in oak 'tonels' and barriques until bottled, 12 months from harvest.
A soft, fruity, lightly textured wine from the Mouchão estate, this is made to be drunk young. It has some structure although the main success of the wine lies in its poised black fruits and acidity. Drink this ripe wine now.
