This rosé was made from whole cluster pressed Grenache, whose thin skins and light pigment make it ideal for rosé. The Grenache was grown in fine silt and clay loam soils and was picked early to capture lively acidity and keep alcohol in check. While pale in color, this rosé is concentrated, full-bodied, and intensely aromatic.
Vineyard practices include shoot thinning, leaf pulling, green drop at veraison, cluster thinning, deficit irrigation, maintaining seasonal cover crop, and no use of herbicide sprays.
Tasting notes: This rosé of Grenache showcases an exquisite bouquet of strawberry, bosc pear, and melon. On the palate it is rich in texture, evoques peach, apricot, and raspberries, and has a joyfully balanced acidity.
