This wine is a blend of the Estate's three terraced mountain vineyards which overlook Chiles Canyon. A favorite of Alice Waters, this Zinfandel fresh, structured and bright, rather than jammy. The acid is preserved by the cool nights the estate's north-facing vineyards experience at 1000-1800 ft in elevation, above the Napa Valley.
Wine Spectator - "Nine Wines for $40 or Less - "...Green & Red has been a leader among California Zinfandel producers since its start in 1977. Zinfandel does well in the iron-rich soil of Napa's Chiles Valley district, resulting in zesty red with peppery details, like the version highlighted here...." [90 Points]• 100% Zinfandel
